This is a replica build of a client's customised AC Cobra. The closest kit I could find as a base kit was the Revell RE077 Shelby 427 '65 kit. Scale 1/24
However, all I will be able to use is the body and undercarriage, and engine. I will have to 3D design and print all the rest of the parts. This build will therefore take rather long, considering that I am still
learning to design for 3D printing and have a steep learning curve ahead of me!

The client's car.
The build is complete and the client is happy so, here is my story of the build ......
As is my custom, I started on the display. I did quite a bit of research and using AI, eventually decided on the perfect display for a model of this class: An exotic car, in a modern showroom/garage setting. No rust or dust here..... I knew this would be a challenging build.
I set about designing and printing the required components, painting them and soon, the base was done.

I had to modify the undercarriage a bit but, that was not an issue. Thankfully I was able to find the 3D files online for printing the wheels. It would otherwise have been a disaster!
i quickly assembled and painted the undercarriage, printed and painted the wheels. This was followed by designing and printing the various parts for the cockpit: seats, dash, upholstery, gear shifter, steering wheel, instrument panel........
And then it was time for my "favourite" aspect of modelling - painting a shiny body. This was an absolute nightmare.
I kept messing up the centre (orange) stripe and after 3 attempts, it was so wide that I decided to oxitol the entire body and start over.
Final results were not too bad.

My signature: a small animal.
