Sand Scorcher

This started out as an annoying build. The client had asked someone to build it and I basically had to pick up where that person left off. (But let's not go there). Once I reached the point of deciding to undo what he had done and to start from scratch, the build went relatively well. 

I did not reprint the Ampro parts and that caused a few problems later on because the 3D print was a bit on the "brittle" side and needed some TLC and superglue! (I got the photo from the internet)

Turn. Don't Burn.

I scratchbuilt the seatbelts, 3D printed the buckles, had the decals printed, and 3D printed some extra parts (including the figure) to enhance the build. 

There was a horrible gap between the body and the motor, so I quickly made a "filler".

The font bumper supplied with the kit did not look realistic, so I bought a 3D file, modified and blended the two.

(One day, after I retire, I will learn to design).

Body mods included trimming the mudguards, and filling in the rear window.

I used the "marmite technique" to do the zig-zag paint pattern.
