When I got this kit (if one can call it that) from a buddy, it was only the shell as can be seen below. I found inspiration in the following photo of an abandoned car in the Namibian desert and decided to copy it (sort of...)

Firstly, I used my favourite rust-base primer (Rustoleum camoflage brown), and once dried, airbrushed various colours using Tamiya acrylics. Just before it dried, I put everything in water and rubbed the paint off a bit, using my finger. Then I used a toothpick and chipped and scratched the acrylic to get the desired effects. This was really a basic rusting exercise using water to remove some paint. Streaks were made using heavily diluted acrylic. I used a Dremel torch to soften the front of the car in order to make the dents - which I made using a long nose pliers (because it was hot!)
